Albert Lasker Award - 1970
The centerpiece activity of the Albert Lasker Foundation is an annual awards program, which recognizes stunning achievements in basic and clinical research, as well as significant public service in behalf of medical science. David A. Karnofsky Award.
Every year, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) presents the award, its highest scientific honor, to a researcher who has changed the way clinical oncologists think about the general practice of clinical oncology. The award is named for Dr. Karnofsky, MD, who was a pioneer in chemotherapy at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
