New President of RAGIS
Mark Ballow, MD has assumed duties as President for RAGIS
Unveiling of the Robert A. Good portrait at the Robert A. Good Library within the Jeffrey Modell Immunology Center
Dean Flier of Harvard Medical School hosted a reception in honor of the unveiling of the portrait. Over 30 invited guests were present. Dean Flier and Noorbibi K. Day-Good, PhD unveiled the portrait together. This was followed by several short speeches. Then President of RAGIS, Thomas Fleisher, MD and Fred and Vicki Modell, Founders of the Jeffrey Modell Immunology Center within which the Robert A. Good Library is located, were present.

3rd RAGIS Symposium 2011
Plans are under way to have a RAGIS sponsored ½ to 1-day symposium in 2011. Details will be presented at a later time.
Robert A. Good / Jeffrey Modell Foundation Fellowship for Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) and Immune Reconstitution
This has been funded by the Jeffrey Modell Foundation. Dr. Chaim Rofiman is the chair of the selection committee.
The committee members are:

Robert A. Good Memorial Lecture at FOCIS, San Francisco, California, June 11th-17th, 2009
Dean Klasko of the University of South Florida Medical School approved that the Robert A. Good University of South Florida Endowment Lectureship be presented at the FOCIS meeting. Steven Holland, MD, NIAID, NIH is the awardee this year. Dr. Holland presented at a plenary session entitled, "Sensing Microbes". The title of his talk was "Mycobacterial Susceptibility: The Real (Bob) Goods". Thomas Fleisher, MD, National Institutes of Health, presented the award by RAGIS.
RAGIS Business Meeting
Was held in Washington, D.C. March 15th, 2009 in conjunction with the AAAA/I meeting. 17 members were present. Anyone interested in its contents should email Emilia Mia Sordillo, MD, PhD at ems13@columbia.edu
RAGIS –sponsored Plenary Lecture on Immune Reconstitution in Cartagena
Latin American Society for Immunodeficiencies (LASID) is having its first meeting in Cartagena de Indias on October 15th-17th, 2009. The title of the meeting is "Primary Immunodeficiencies in Latin America: Current perspectives and future directions". The link to their website is www.lasid2009.org.
RAGIS is supporting "The Robert A. Good Immunology Society Lecture: Stem Cell Transplantation in Primary Immunodeficiencies", which is to be given by Luigi Notarangelo, MD of Harvard Medical School on Friday, October 16th, 2009, during the morning session.
